The raw Nendran bananas are skinned and sliced into thin slices using a wood slicer and then deep fried in a traditional chulha. During deep frying, little bit of water mixed with salt is added over the slices in the oil to make them salty. Traditionally, coconut oil is used for deep-frying the chips, which will give a pleasant aroma while eating and also makes them a healthier option to eat.
